The Saga of the Mitford Sisters – Part I & II

The Mitford Sisters were the most colourful characters of the 20th century. Beautiful, smart and more than a little eccentric, their lives were a succession of tragedies, bad choices, and very dubious affiliations.
In Part I we hear from the sisters in their own words about their unusual upbringing, and the paths each of them forged in the 1930s amid the polarizing forces of fascism and communism.
In Part II we cover the wartime years and beyond. Stories of public and private betrayals, losses, and deep fractures in the family. We’ll explore the consequences of each sister’s actions and the impact on the others.
